A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Susan Baird - Just Gigi: The Story of Gigi Conboy Rosselli

Full title: "Just Gigi: The Story of Gigi Conboy Rosselli" by Susan Baird.

"George, Butchie, Georgie, and Gigi - all the same person but all so different. George was a boy who realized he was a girl when he was a child. He never hid this but didn’t flaunt it either. He fully lived his life all the time planning to become a woman. He accomplished this dream in his mid-sixties and fully became Gigi.

After this, Gigi married the love of her life, her partner of over 40 years. They had two wedding ceremonies. Gigi said this was to make sure they were good and married. They then planned on living happily ever after. But tragedy struck. This is a true transition story full of triumphs and trials, joy and tears. We know you will enjoy meeting and getting to know Gigi Conboy Rosselli."

Gigi Catherine Conboy Rosselli was a talented hair stylist who left a lasting impact on her community. Born on April 5, 1951, in Cohoes, New York, she always knew she had a knack for hair styling. Gigi obtained her certificate from Austin Beauty School in Albany and continued to enhance her skills by taking classes in Manhattan to stay up-to-date with new cuts and coloring techniques. She began her career working in hair salons in shopping malls and eventually opened her own salon in downtown Troy with her partner of nearly 40 years, Tom Rosselli. Together, they built a successful business, running their salon on Troy’s Fulton Street for two decades.

In 1999, they opened Giorgio’s the Salon. Gigi was not only a skilled stylist but also a vibrant presence at work. She delighted her clients with her exuberance, passion for life, and love for singing, storytelling, and modeling the latest fashions. Her creativity extended beyond hair styling; she showcased her decorating skills both at the Latham salon and in the homes she shared with Tom. Gigi’s energy was contagious. She enjoyed long walks, dancing, and being around people. Her flair for hair styling and her ability to connect with others made her a cherished figure in her community. Sadly, Gigi bravely fought Frontotemporal Dementia for three years, which ultimately sidelined her from the activities she loved. She passed away on May 17, 2018, on the couple’s wedding anniversary, with Tom by her side.
