A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Marie S Rice - Michelle Danielle is Dead

Full title: "Michelle Danielle is Dead" by Marie S Rice.

"MICHELLE DANIELLE IS DEAD is the exciting true story of Mike, a former female impersonator and well-known show business personality, who found Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

His dramatic deliverance from homosexuality is a tremendous testimony. It is also the story of a mother who refused to give up on her son, even though the odds were against her."

Sharon Davis - A Finer Specimen of Womanhood: A Transsexual...

Full title: "A Finer Specimen of Womanhood: A Transsexual Speaks" by Sharon Davis. The book is an autobiographical memoir by Sharon Davis, published in 1985. It is the first ever published memoir by a transgender woman of colour.

"Born in Delaware in 1956, Sharon Davis underwent her sex-change operation in 1980. Today she is a successful model and lectures professionally on the transsexual experience, helping other transsexuals through her own experiences and trying to bring a better understanding of gender-dissatisfaction problems to everyone."

"Who Am I? I was born in Wilmington, Delaware. It is a very small state compared to others. My state barely made it on the maps until the Du Ponts became well-known for their products. During the year 1956, I was lucky to become the fourth member in my large family of nine. I have two sisters, one who is one year younger than I and another that is five years younger. My six brothers range in age from nineteen to thirty. with three older ones ahead of me and three younger ones following me."

Amanda Lear - El Dalí de Amanda

"El Dalí de Amanda" (Amanda's Dalí)  is the Spanish language edition of "Le Dalí d'Amanda" (Amanda's Dalí).

Amanda Lear (born 1939) is a French singer, television celebrity, actress, and model, known for her professional career as a fashion model in the mid-1960s and being a muse of Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. The book tells about her relationship with Salvador Dalí and presents detailed insights into the 15 years of their relationship.

According to Wikipedia, Amanda's transgender background was confirmed by Salvador Dalí himself, and other well-known artists that used to know Lear earlier in her life. For example, April Ashley, a transgender icon and model, claimed that in the 1950s and early 1960s, Lear, whose birth name she stated was "Alain Tap", had worked with her in the Parisian transgender revues Madame Arthur and Le Carrousel. In her book April Ashley's Odyssey, Ashley recalls Lear performing drag acts under the stage name "Peki d'Oslo".

Monica Jay - Geraldine: For the Love of a Transvestite

Full title: "Geraldine: For the Love of a Transvestite - an autobiographical episode by Monica Jay" by Monica Jay.

"One night, gin-and-tonic before him as always and reading on the settee with me as usual squatting on the ground before him, Gerald announced that he wanted to make a confession', overriding all my objections. I do not like confessions. People are carried away by the temptation of the moment to get things off their chest, only to feel embarrassed the following day. I did not want Gerald to be embarrassed with me. I did not want him to move out of my house. But there was no stopping him. He came straight to the point."

Loris Ádreon - Meu corpo minha prisao: Autobiografia de um...

Original title: "Meu corpo minha prisao: Autobiografia de um transsexual" (My Body My Prison: Autobiography of a Transsexual) by Loris Ádreon.

According to Duda Zanine, the book is an autobiographical account of Loris Ádreon from birth to adulthood. There is (at least) an evident romanticization of the facts or, as Bernardete Lira would say, a “cheesy delusional” tone.

Born in Spain, Loris moved to Manaus with her family sometime in her teens. In Brazil, she ends up torn between the love of an Italian immigrant and an indigenous man. Meanwhile, she suffers various violence for being transgender. The narrator presents herself as an unfortunate romantic maiden with a pure heart, while Oitameno represents the noble colonized savage. Something similar to Ceci and Peri from O Guarani. Curious, I researched and found nothing relevant about Loris Ádreon on the internet, not even a photo. Total mystery. The author has fallen into oblivion, although the book involved intellectuals such as Herbert Daniel and Rose Marie Muraro in its publication.
