A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Mehri Shahhosseini - A Review of Transgender Life

Original title: مروری بر زندگی تراجنسیتی ها (A Review of Transgender Life) by Mehri Shahhosseini.

"This book contains information received from transgender people and experts in this field, and it is about the situation of people whose internal gender identity is in conflict with the gender they were assigned at birth; Therefore, they always think about how to make changes in their body to achieve the desired sexual characteristics, according to their soul and spirit.

To put it more simply, transgenders are people who have a healthy soul in a body that they do not consider to be their own, which leads to a constant conflict between their soul and body. These people always think that their souls are in captivity of a body that does not belong to them, and this contradiction imposes an unfair struggle on their lives."

"According to the opinion of experts in this field, the origin of this conflict goes back to their embryonic period; But despite many assumptions, no clear medical reason has been provided about "sexual boredom"; But the results of global psychological and gender studies clearly state that these people never have the will and authority in who they are, as a result, many of them use "gender adjustment" surgery as the only way to save themselves from this in order to achieve their true identity. They choose an unwanted contradiction; A choice with many possible risks, and exorbitant costs.

Unfortunately, some family members and people in the society, due to the lack of knowledge about the nature of the creation of transgender people, and also because of the lack of knowledge about the obvious contradictions that exist in their natural behavior with their biological sex, treat them with extreme unkindness and sometimes mistreatment. They cruelly put that this is another great pain on top of their other mental sufferings. In this book, the amazing and thought-provoking life stories of some of them, from their own words, have been discussed in a precise and meticulous manner.

Also, in a part of the book, a summary of the opinions of doctors and specialists about the characteristics, conditions and gender reassignment surgeries of transgenders is reflected. In another part, Hojjat-ul-Islam, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Kariminia, spoke in detail about the jurisprudence and legal issues of these people after adjusting gender."
