A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Laura Kate Dale - Uncomfortable Labels

Full title: "My Life as a Gay Autistic Trans Woman" by Laura Kate Dale.

"In this candid, first-of-its-kind memoir, Laura Kate Dale recounts what life is like growing up as a gay trans woman on the autism spectrum.

From struggling with sensory processing, managing socially demanding situations and learning social cues and feminine presentation, through to coming out as trans during an autistic meltdown, Laura draws on her personal experiences from life prior to transition and diagnosis, and moving on to the years of self-discovery, to give a unique insight into the nuances of sexuality, gender and autism, and how they intersect."

Laura Kate Dale is an English video game journalist, author, and activist. She is known for her insightful writing about the transgender and autism communities in relation to video games, as well as her contributions to video game industry leaks. Laura has worked at gaming site Destructoid and was also the news editor for gaming site Kotaku UK for nearly two years. During her tenure at Kotaku UK, she published an article claiming that a song from the video game Persona 5 contained an ableist slur. However, this claim was later proven untrue, and Kotaku issued an apology for publishing the article without proper research. In this podcast, they discuss game industry news and related topics in a mostly non-serious, amusing manner. In May 2020, Laura launched a video series called “Access-ability” on YouTube. The show focuses on discussing the difficulties faced by neurodivergent or disabled people within video games. Laura reviews various games and explains what can be done to improve accessibility, making the video game industry more universally accessible. The series also addresses issues of LGBTQ+ representation within the medium.

Laura has published several books: “Things I Learned from Mario’s Butt: A Series of Gaming Butt Critiques”: Funded on the crowdfunding website Unbound in 2018. “Uncomfortable Labels: My Life as a Gay Autistic Trans Woman”: A memoir published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers in 2019. “Gender Euphoria: Stories of Joy from Trans, Non-Binary, and Intersex Writers”: Crowdfunded through Unbound and published in 2021.
