A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

RK Klein - Light in the Closet: Biblical Insights for the M2F...

Full title: "Light in the Closet: Biblical Insights for the M2F Transgender Journey - A Frank Discussion of Gender Identity Including Resources and Support" by RK Klein.

"There are an estimated 2-10 million men in the U.S. who are uncomfortable with their birth gender. Many identify strongly with the gender opposite their physical birth gender. They feel trapped in a life that does not fit. They see their gender identity as a battlefield, and are not at peace with who they are. Out of obligation to family, friends and career, they attempt to deny or conceal these feelings, and often end up living a secret, closeted life. Perhaps this is you, or you know someone who fits this description.

This publication is designed for those who are already Christians, but also will benefit anyone seeking guidance in what the bible may have to offer concerning transgender issues. The purpose of this publication is to provide information, (biblical, social and therapeutic) in order to encourage an honest exploration of gender identity and life-style choices."

"A native to the San Francisco Bay Area, RK Klein came out in 1999 as transgender. RK served in various ministry capacities, including: Art Director at Jews for Jesus in San Francisco, California; Art Director for the Christian publication Radix Magazine in Berkeley, California; Executive Board Member of True North Christian Fellowship, and participated in the first ever Transgender Religious Leaders Summit at the Pacific School of Religion (PSR) in Berkeley, California in 2007. In April of 2009, RK attended the 2009 Transgender Religious Leaders Summit, in Washington DC where, joining with other religious leaders, lobbied for successful passage of the Hate Crimes Bill (Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009).

From 2010 through 2015 Light in the Closet Ministry co-hosted, along with the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies (CLGS) the Transgender Religious Leaders Summit, bringing it back to the PSR Berkeley Campus. RK has spoken and taught at various conferences, including Creating Change and Southern Comfort in Atlanta Georgia, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and the Keystone Conference in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. My personal journey has taken me from questioning my gender, to discovering my personhood. A more honest exploration of my gender issues is helping me to discover a holistic approach to personhood. I started Light in the Closet ministry to offer support to others who are dealing with gender in-congruency."
