A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Daria Jane - Sex-Schimbare. Putere. Identitate

Original title: "Sex-Schimbare. Putere. Identitate" (Sex - Change. Power. Identity) by Daria Jane.

The first book in Romania that follows the social, medical, and legal aspects of the male-to-female transition. A book that deals with sexuality in all its forms, talking about feminism, monogamy, and fluidity.

Daria Bulzan, also known as Daria Jane, was born Darius Bulzan on June 15, 1998, in Romania. She is a celebrity YouTube star. She studied marketing at the University of Bucharest. Before she came out as a transgender woman at the age of 16, still as a boy, she took part in the Romanian version of Got Talent, a British talent show TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCOtv company. She impressed the talent show jury with her contortionist show, a dance full of twists and bends and unnatural positions.

Thanks to the support from her mother, she started hormone therapy at the age of 18 and underwent gender reassignment surgery in Thailand. According to the media, she invested 80,000 euros in her feminizing operations. Daria is the most well-known transgender woman in Romania, known for discussing her lifestyle as a male-to-female transgender woman alongside beauty and fashion topics on her social media.

In 2023, I interviewed Daria and asked her about her coming out: "I came out as bisexual when I was 14, then I told my mother I was gay and eventually I told her I’m a trans woman. I was so scared to call it what it is from the very beginning. She was definitely surprised, she wanted to have a boy ever since she was in high school. She didn’t even know what trans actually means. She went to therapy to learn how to deal with this situation and how to support me. I will always be thankful for that - even when she didn’t understand, she still wanted to be there for me. She gave me a very good example of what being a parent is."
