A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Original title: "Transformatie in een relatie" (Transformation in a relationship) by Marlies de Koster and Marian de Koster.

This autobiography shows how the two completely different worlds of Paul and Marlies come together in one person. After years of secrecy, Marlies is no longer able to suppress her feelings. She decides to tell her wife and children that she feels like a woman. They go into transition together.

In addition, Marian, Marlies' wife, gives a glimpse into her life in the period before and after the revelation. The transition puts the family on a rollercoaster of emotions. They face difficult, life-defining choices.

This impressive autobiography shows how the two completely different worlds of Paul and Marlies come together in one person. After years of secrecy, Paul is no longer able to suppress her feelings. She decides to tell her wife and children that she feels like a woman. Not much later, it becomes painfully clear how intense this internal conflict is. After a hospitalization, a forced revelation follows in a small, Zeeland village. Paul transforms into Marlies for the outside world and the relationship with her wife and children changes with it. The revelation produces a lot of fear and tension, but eventually gives way to pride and relief. Marlies' message is clear: "No matter how difficult it is: don't wait too long to express your true feelings."

In addition, Marian, the wife of Paul/Marlies, gives a glimpse into her life in the phase before and after the revelation. Due to the transition of her partner, Marian finds herself in a rollercoaster of emotions. She faces difficult, life-defining choices. Marian's processing process and that of the children do not coincide with Paul/Marlies's, which leads to the necessary tensions and problems. "You can handle more than you think. Be honest with each other and with yourself and talk to each other about your deepest feelings," she said.
