A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Angela Schrigly - Becoming Queen Angela

Full title: "Becoming Queen Angela: A True Crime Autobiography" by Angela Schrigly.

"The story begins with my evidence, though circumstantial, about how the R.C.M.P in Banff National Park work with drug dealers in the East in a corrupt fashion. It also gives a summary of my goals of Becoming Queen.

The real beginning takes you to my ancestral background where my Paternal Grandfather whose Surname Pike came from the Gilbert Pike, the Privateer who captured a Dutch warship in the late 1500s and on board was an Irish Princess who was herself captured. Her name was Shiela Na Giera and the two were said to have fallen in love. They settled in Newfoundland and gave birth to the first English male baby on the North American Continent (or so the story goes).

That's part of where I get some of my grandiose ideas from. I have an aunt Shiela named after her. My story talks about my fantasies from how I looked at magazines and wished I was a woman in Chatelaine and Playboy and so on during adolescence. How my sex life in high school and different sexual practices with women made me feel and what turned me on. It took me until I was in college and university and learned about Freud and how he said that everyone is bisexual and then it basically opened up Pandora's box for me.

I was very closed off due to the stigma in the small western Banff federal government parks Canada town that I had grown up in. I had the thoughts but I didn't think that I could ever act on them, until I moved to the big city of Calgary, but Calgary was also a "redneck" city with the Calgary Stampede rodeo, and blue jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hats. I wasn't sure I'd ever feel comfortable. It's all in the book though."
