A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Lisa McIntyre - Transfixed

Full title: "Transfixed" by Lisa McIntyre.

Lisa McIntyre is an artist, author, and campaigner for disability rights. She is an active member of the Labour Party, Labour Representative Committee, and DPAC (Disabled People Against Cuts). She lives in Norwich UK.

I found this introduction on her website: "This book was written to explain to, and to perhaps educate those who are not trans, what the life of this trans woman actually is. I found it cathartic to write it all down and it's hopefully enlightening, as well as an entertaining and enjoyable read."

"Lisa McIntyre was born, apparently a boy, in Dumbarton, Scotland in 1964. She grew up just outside Glasgow in a tough working-class area of Scotland. The boy ‘Ally’, like many other teenagers in that environment, discovered alcohol, drugs and violence, and became an active member of one of the many street gangs that were rife in that area of Scotland during the 1970s and 1980s. Bloody street flights, knife crime and domestic violence at home were commonplace."
