Full title: "Transgression: My very public journey into becoming a (wo)man" by Noam Mercedes Kostucki.
"Transgression describes Noam’s inspirational journey of transformation from a stereotypical male to someone who does not fit into any box in existence. It shows what happens when a person decides to live by the words of T.S. Eliot "only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
As I read the book, I found myself repeatedly thinking, “Wait, he isn’t actually going to do that?!” - only to find out that invariably, he did. Who gives up a secure corporate life to move to a third-world country and establish a “fine dining” restaurant having never done it before? Who opts to put on women’s clothing and walk in public, risking ridicule, professional suicide, and possibly getting beaten to death?
