A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Petra de Sutter - (Over)Leven

Original title: "Over)leven: mijn strijd als transvrouw arts and politica" (Surviving to live: my struggle as a trans woman doctor and politician) by Petra De Sutter and Elke Lahousse.

She is one of my inspirations. And I have been fortunate to have an interview with her for my blog The Heroines of My LifePetra De Sutter is a Belgian gynecologist and politician. On 1 October 2020, she was appointed Belgium's new Deputy Prime Minister, making her the highest-ranking transgender politician in the world.

This is what she told me when asked about whether transgender women can make a difference in politics: "In most countries they are still subject of some degree of discrimination, so they know what it is to belong to a minority. Minorities must be protected, this is a sacred duty of all politicians.
