A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Matías Uris - Veneno Collection

Original title: "Veneno Collection" by Matías Uris.

The book covers Cristina La Veneno's last photo shoot. It is a 2020 edition of the fanzine with unpublished material and text by Valeria Vegas.

According to Wikiwand, Cristina Ortiz Rodríguez (1964-2016), better known as La Veneno ('Poisongirl'), was a Spanish singer, actress, sex worker, and media personality. Considered one of the most important and beloved LGBT icons in Spain, she rose to fame in 1996 after briefly appearing on the late-night talk show Esta noche cruzamos el Mississippi, broadcast on Telecinco between 1995 and 1997 and hosted by the journalist Pepe Navarro.

Valeria Vegas - Vestidas de azul

Original title: "Vestidas de azul: Análisis social y cinematográfico de la mujer transexual en los años de la Transición española" (Vestidas de azul: Social and cinematographic analysis of transsexual women in the years of the Spanish Transition) by Valeria Vegas.

"Vestida de azul" by Antonio Giménez-Rico was the first Spanish documentary starring six transsexual women to be released in commercial theaters. Today, 35 years later and with the perspective that she gives over time, the journalist Valeria Vegas analyzes how the media and the cinema dealt with transsexuality in a truly hostile time for a group as exposed as it was a minority. Through the circumstances that surrounded Eva, Loren, Tamara, Josette, Nacha and Renée, the author investigates aspects such as prostitution, entertainment, social exclusion, or oppressive laws. Her lives are also those of many other women for whom democracy was not always synonymous with freedom.

Valeria Vegas & Cristina Ortiz - ¡Digo! Ni Puta Ni Santa

Original title: "¡Digo! Ni Puta Ni Santa. Las memorias de La Veneo" (Say! Neither bitch nor Santa. The memories of La Veneno) by Valeria Vegas and Cristina Ortiz.

Cristina La Veneno is able to present in her peculiar way, different themes, ranging from family to plastic surgery, sex, or prison drama. It is the story of a young man who fled his village transforming himself into a woman. Of a prostitute who sees her luck change. Of a famous person who never fought to be.

Sincere and funny, she presents her life to us. An uncommon life, unique as its protagonist and that has a certain melodramatic air, which will serve to know a little more about Cristina, already, forever, La Veneno.
