I found an interesting review of this book on Amazon: "Just as the author states in her introduction she didn’t change any of the pages, kept the pages as original from the diary leading up to her gender reassignment surgery. 40 days to be exact. Bree was candid, raw, and true. Added enough, so you got a look behind the curtain behind the mental anguish, loneliness, solidarity, being scared, the confusion, even excitement of it all.
This is a book for all. A book for someone in same shoes as Bree, about to go through reassignment surgery or looking for someone who understands what it’s like to walk in similar shoes. I say “similar" because we all walk are own path but share a “similar” story at times. And those who don’t even fit in the category and just curious, want know more, know someone, or just want to know Bree story.
This is book for Transgender men and woman and teens to the allies, non-transgender person just interested and the LGBTQ community. It’s a wonderful book. Take in mind since it has a diary vibe it’s a little oddly written, some chapters very short, but it’s authentic. That’s what this reviewer genuinely feels once she got to the end."
