A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Clarisse - Homme un jour, femme toujours

Original title: "Homme un jour, femme toujours: Les tribulations d'une femme transgenre" (Man one day, woman always - The tribulations of a transgender woman)

Transsexuality remains a taboo subject for many people who are ignorant or blinded by cultural-societal concepts. However, in recent years, the subject has been increasingly publicized: although it is too often approached by negligence, it allows better visibility. So it is up to us, transgender people, to inform the person as much as possible about the transgender reality.

I write these lines, lying motionless, on my hospital bed, a place that is usually to be avoided, because it is scary! And yet, I exult when I am welcomed into the plastic surgery – gynecology department. This long-awaited moment, this pivotal moment between two lives, between two beings who can no longer coexist in this body that I am about to arrange as it should have been at the beginning of my life.

I don't care what the future holds for me because I cry out today, with immeasurable passion: I am a WOMAN. The fear of being blacklisted by a family then reluctant to understand, by friends who could turn into judges, by a society more radical than understanding, inevitably led me to a late transition, at 40 years old, tinged with regret at not having been able to live as my body and mind dictated.
