Transsexuality remains a taboo subject for many people who are ignorant or blinded by cultural-societal concepts. However, in recent years, the subject has been increasingly publicized: although it is too often approached by negligence, it allows better visibility. So it is up to us, transgender people, to inform the person as much as possible about the transgender reality.
I write these lines, lying motionless, on my hospital bed, a place that is usually to be avoided, because it is scary! And yet, I exult when I am welcomed into the plastic surgery – gynecology department.
This long-awaited moment, this pivotal moment between two lives, between two beings who can no longer coexist in this body that I am about to arrange as it should have been at the beginning of my life.
