A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Lannie Rose - How To Change Your Sex

Full title: "How To Change Your Sex: A Lighthearted Look at the Hardest Thing You'll Ever Do" by Lannie Rose.

"Lannie Rose changed her sex and now she explains how you can too! How To Change Your Sex: A Lighthearted Look at the Hardest Thing You'll Ever Do is an amusing and practical guide to everything you need to know for your sex change, from how to tell if you are transsexual, through venturing out in public in your new gender presentation (including which restroom to use!), to hormones and surgeries, to what to expect afterwards. Whether you are seriously considering changing your own sex, or if you have a friend or loved one who is going through the process, or even if you are just curious, you are bound to be entertained and informed by this handy little manual."

In 2018, I interviewed Lannie and asked her about the book: "Heck, I had a blast transitioning, as you know if you’ve read my books. I squeezed all my adolescent-girl partying into a single year, so when I wrote the book as I neared the end of my transition, it felt very natural to approach it lightheartedly. Besides, being trans is not “The Worst Problem in the World,” as I discuss in a chapter of that title. A lot of people have to deal with much worse, as I see things. For that matter, one young trans person scoffed at the title of the book and told me, “Being trans is easy – learning to surf is hard!"
