A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. Contrary to what the subtitle suggests, the book is not about having sex. It is a collection of biographies of people living in Poland and beyond its borders - transvestites, prostitutes, transsexuals, homosexuals, some of them raising children.
The characters from Surmiak-Domańska's reportages have one thing in common - rejection by the majority of the population. (...) For example, Anna, a transsexual woman who after a poorly performed operation in a state clinic, vegetates being neither a woman nor a man.
