A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. According to Freiya Benson, she was motivated to edit the book Trans Love by the desire to counter the hateful rhetoric and sensationalism that often surrounds trans identities in the media. She wanted to give space and time for trans and non-binary people to speak their truths and celebrate their differences, and to show that they are deserving of love in all its forms. She also wanted to share the diverse and uplifting experiences of trans people navigating love and relationships, beyond the tragedies and stereotypes that are commonly portrayed.
Freiya Benson is a trans woman from the United Kingdom. She writes about sex, relationships, love and how to navigate the world as a trans woman. She has had her writing featured in various magazines, including Diva, i-D, and Ladybeard, and has also appeared on the Huffington Post.
