A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

María Toscano-Alonso - Transformando la televisión

Original title: "Transformando la televisión: Representaciones en series que revolucionan la hegemonía cis" (Transforming Television: Representations in Series That Revolutionize Cis Hegemony) by María Toscano-Alonso.

Trans identities have been silenced and made invisible for years, having been scarcely represented in mass culture, and when they have appeared it has been under negative stereotypes. In the last decade, new representations have begun to proliferate in television series and digital platforms that have given space to diverse trans-identity realities, from a trans woman imprisoned in prison, in Orange Is The New Black, to a trans man in the middle of the Spanish Civil War, in Las chicas del cable.

Raul Solis Galvan - La doble transición

Original title: "La doble transición" (The double transition) by Raul Solis Galvan.

The book addresses the need to present, with a humane and close look, the lives of transsexual women who with daily heroics have conquered freedoms and rights that today are the collective heritage of our country.

Petróleo, Salvaora, Silvia, Miryam, Soraya, Mar (Mar Cambrollé Jurado), María José or Manolita are women who mocked the dictatorship in their face, who subverted all the religious and moral treaties of Spain in black and white, who found their bones in prison for being free. But they were also able to circumvent the limitations of the regime and find breathing space. These are their stories, and together they make up the opening of a country's doors to its sexual freedom.

F. Gómez & M. C. Jurado - Mar Cambrollé, una mujer de verdad

Original title: "Mar Cambrollé, una mujer de verdad" (Mar Cambrollé, a real woman) by Francisco Artacho Gómez and Mar Cambrollé Jurado.

Mar Cambrollé, a real woman, is the biography of Mar Cambrollé Jurado, a Sevillian woman who always carried the struggle for what she believed was fair to defend. But her life covers many lives.

That of Francisco, as her parents baptized her, and who grew up in the poorest neighborhoods of the city. It is the life of Paco, who participated in the fight against Francoism when the genocidal dictator was already giving the last blows.

Her life is also that of the activist who organized and led the first, and until today unknown, movement for homosexual liberation in Andalusia. Her activist blood has led her, 30 years later, to lead the "trans" struggle in Andalusia, a territory at the forefront of collective rights in Europe.
