A random collection of over 1910 books and audiobooks authored by or about my transgender, intersex sisters, and gender-nonconforming persons all over the world. I read some of them, and I was inspired by some of them. I met some of the authors and heroines, some of them are my best friends, and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing some of them. If you know of any transgender biography that I have not covered yet, please let me know.

Bo Van Spilbeeck - Comment je suis devenue BO

"Comment je suis devenue BO" (How I became BO) is the French language edition of "Bo: Eindelijk vrouw" (Bo: Finally woman) by Bo Van Spilbeeck.

"From the outside, no one could guess. However, since childhood, Baudouin feels like a girl in a boy's skin. He thinks that "it will pass". He married, had two children, and became one of the most famous reporters in Belgium.

At 58, after years of questioning and struggling, he decided to become a woman, Bo. His coming out made headlines around the world. In this testimony, Bo recounts her long years as a woman locked in a man's body, her transition, and the courage to face the fear of losing everything: her job, family, and friends. We discover the support of his colleagues and his editor, the role, and the unwavering love of his wife and children."

Bo Van Spilbeeck (born as Boudewijn Van Spilbeeck on February 7, 1959, in Antwerp) is a Belgian VTM journalist and author. She studied Romance philology at the University of Antwerp and began her career as a journalist at BRT Internationaal (later known as RVi). In 1999, she moved to VTM and has been working there as part of the VTM News team ever since. In a significant personal revelation, Bo announced on January 30, 2018, that she is transgender and will now live her life as a woman. Her decision received widespread media attention, both in Belgium and abroad. Many positive reactions followed within Belgium.

Bo’s autobiography, titled “Bo, Eindelijk vrouw” (which translates to “Bo, Finally a Woman”), delves into her transition experience and reached the top spot on the Standaard Boekhandel book list in Belgium. Bo is married, has two children, and resides in Kapellen. Her journey of self-discovery and transformation has inspired many and shed light on the challenges faced by transgender individuals.
